Held on a balmy Tuesday evening, at the renowned Babington House Hotel, near Frome, the first marketing forum organised by Impress was a tremendous success. The luxurious surroundings provided the perfect ambiance for a networking events that focused on global Internet trends.

A presentation by Andy Poulton was pitched at the right level given the audience who comprised entrepreneurs, business start-ups and employees of various companies from a variety of selectors including legal, public sector, marketing, IT, professional sport and retail. Poulton fused information about cutting-edge websites such as YouTube, Amazon and MySpace, with anecdotal examples of organisations that have successfully launched online businesses. He also gave an overview of technological trends that are driving the remorseless progression of the Internet from both a commercial and domestic perspective.

The evening served to prove the interest by those present in contributing to the concept of a south west-based marketing forum. John Davies from Salestar in Bath, has agreed to present at the next event to be held on October 3rd. He will focus on the importance of a pro-active sales strategy to contemporary businesses.
